A Summer Bounty!
A garden requires patient labor and attention. Plants do not grow merely to satisfy ambitions or to fulfill good intentions. They thrive because someone expended effort on them.

In the country, neighbors share their bounty with neighbors. We thank our good neighbors ‘just over the hill’, Jessie Riley and her father Farris Riley, for donating these fresh grown vegetables….tomatoes, zucchini, summer squash and green beans. With the vegetables grown in our own gardens and the contribution from the Rileys, our children will enjoy and benefit from many healthy meals prepared using these. The ladies in the kitchen have been busy breaking up the excess beans to dry. We’ll have a good meal of ‘shuck’ beans this winter!! Thanks Jessie and Farris!
