Located at Pine Ridge, Kentucky, which is in Wolfe County and very near Natural Bridge State Resort Park and Red River Gorge, Dessie Scott Children’s Home (DSCH) houses only males ages 13-17 through residential treatment.

Our Care

The therapeutic milieu is based on an individual treatment plan, which includes individual and group counseling, peer relations, trust building, life skills development, and, if possible, family sessions.

Most of our clients are committed to the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and may have been through multiple placements and treatment options prior to arriving at Dessie Scott.

Length of stay is coordinated between agency staff and the parent/guardian.

An average length of stay is 6-8 months.

Our Cottages

Each resident of our cottages has his own room.
